Hi! Our names are Regan, Emma, Lukas & Peter. Emma and Regan began K9 Club Cares in January of 2011 when they were both 4th graders. Regan really wanted to organize a club or somehow raise money to help homeless animals. Emma came up with the idea of making and selling dog toys, then giving the profits to local animal rescues and shelters. The plan really took off! Emma's older brother, Lukas, got involved right away with production, selling and is now the official financial manager. Emma's younger brother, Peter, is also beginning to help out and even wants to organize a "fun run" to support local animal shelters.
Our first year was a huge success. We sold toys at many local events, in retail stores, to friends, to family and online. As of December 31, 2011, we donated over $2700 to local area animal shelters and rescues! We hope to do the same or even more in 2012.
